Remarks:

Thermal agitation is a primary thermal phenomenon, which is the origin of all other thermal phenomena. Thermal agitation is not observed directly (the movement of molecules is not visible), but indirectly it has been demonstrated that this phenomenon exists. All other thermal phenomena are directly observable and can be explained as consequences of this primary phenomenon of thermal agitation.
