About this site and its author

I am a Physics teacher and I teach high school and middle school classes. My intention is to include in this site the subjects I teach, but also additional material for further study.

My professional history in brief

I was born in 1973, in the city of Victoria in Brașov County, Romania. In 1991 I graduated from the Industrial High School of Chemistry in the city of Victoria, in the Electrotechnical profile and received a qualification diploma in the profession of electrician, which I only practiced as a simple amateur.

I studied Physics at the University of Bucharest (Măgurele) between 1991-1996. In 1996, I was employed at a Physics institute (INFLPR Măgurele), in a collective where optical interferometry research was carried out.

In 2006 I left the institute, out of a desire to return home, but also because Romanian research was in decline. I began a new job at Johannes Honterus theoretical high school in Brașov and at General School no. 2 from Râșnov, where I teached in the school year 2006-2007, then I retired: too much stress, too little satisfaction and far too little salary (at that time).

Between 2009-2013 I did a doctorate at Transilvania University in Brașov, with a scholarship from EU funds. I had the intention of continuing my research activity in Brașov, in a newly built research institute, but it was no longer possible: instead of employment opportunities, there were only delusions.

In 2016 I returned to education. I spent a year at the Emil Racoviță College and at the Nicolaie Titulescu College in Brașov, and from 2017 I returned to the Johannes Honterus Theoretical High School, which became the rank of National College in 2019. Now I find new motivations to continue my teaching career.

In 2025 I got the opportunity to become a teacher in Victoria, right at the school where I was also a student.
